Our story began in the industrial sector. At Translift Bendi, we worked on groundbreaking materials-handling solutions that earned multiple design awards, including the prestigious Queen’s Award for Innovation. During that time, we had the privilege of meeting and speaking with the late Queen — an experience that cemented a lifelong commitment to innovation, quality, and user-focused design.

Today, that same engineering spirit lives on at SpaceMate. Based in Worcestershire, we manufacture precision sliding-drawer systems tailored to VW California and Caravelle/Multivan models. Each drawer is laser-cut, CNC-folded, and TIG-welded for maximum strength, locking seamlessly into the VW rail system to protect interiors while offering easy access to every item you carry.

We listen closely to Cali owners to refine every detail — from ensuring full use of internal volume to designing for camping gear, Porta-Potti fitment, and smooth operation under load. Our goal is always to make life simpler, more organised, and free of compromise.
